JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Monthly Close Process:
    • Create and book journal entries
    • Upload reports to HOST Analytics
    • Report numbers and analyses to division president and executive team members on variances to budgets/forecasts/prior year results
    • Trust Cash Calculations
  • Treasury
    • Process ACH/Wire/Check requests to vendors
    • Reconcile bank statements
    • Manage ACH payments from agents
    • Record and deposit checks received in the mail
  • Agency Bill
    • Create account current reports for carrier distribution
  • Vendor Payables
    • Record vendor payable activity within general ledger
    • Issue disbursements in general ledger
  • Other
    • Assist in the execution of new accounting pronouncements and their impacts to the division
    • Subject matter expert for all things finance-related in the Silver management accounting operating platform
    • Assist in any potential system conversion of the operating platform from a finance perspective
    • Primary point of contact for divisional audit needs
    • Assist with divisional annual budget process

SKILLS REQUIRED:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support assigned broker/underwriter
  • Logging in new business submissions
  • Documenting files in a timely manner in management system

  • Bind and set up new  business and issue binders, policies, endorsements

JOB TITLE: Surplus Lines Compliance Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Data entry of State transactional submissions
  • Reconciliation of reports to states on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Issuance of payment to states
  • Assisting in tax compliance issues as well as being able to provide staff with timely and correct surplus lines guidance on an as need basis.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have experience with Excel and data entry
  • Must be able to work independently with specific established deadlines
  • Must be flexible in regards to day to day duties based on needs of department

JOB TITLE: (2) Entry Level Marketing Representative – (1) North Carolina (2) Virginia Territories

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify new agency partners and develop and maintain the business relationships with those partners.
  • Attend independent agency functions and conventions throughout the state.
  • Collaborate with underwriting staff to promote Genesee General to contracted and prospective agencies.
  • The ability to meet an expected number of agency calls, understand agency contracts and licensing, and maintain a solid working knowledge of the underwriting process and carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Weekly reporting of agency visits.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with communication activity back to manager.
  • Extensive travel is required.
